When you are working to transmit live events, it’s highly recommendable that your stream is up and running before the scheduled time so you make sure everything is working properly and you deliver a professional stream for a great viewer experience.
Besides that, the NBM platform also needs to allocate all the required resources for transmitting your event.
On your settings section, you will find there are configurable margins in minutes to help us to define how many minutes in advance and after the event is completed the resources will be available.
Also some social media sites require the events to be scheduled at their systems with some minutes before the start.
You can configure the following:
– Start Margin in Minutes (minimum 15 minutes, maximum 30 minutes)
– End Margin in Minutes (minimum 5 minutes, maximum 30 minutes)
So if you configure your Start Margin to 20 minutes and your event is scheduled to start at 6 pm, the NBM platform will start allocating resources and bringing your stream up at 5:40 pm.
And if you configure your End Margin to 10 minutes, the NBM platform will remove the resources and finalize the stream 10 minutes after you have finalized your event.
